Can you treat UTIs in men?

Unfortunately we cannot treat UTIs in men. Here's why:

A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an infection in any part of the urinary system. When someone with female anatomy gets a UTI, the same antibiotic will work regardless of where the infection is located within the urinary tract.

For someone with male anatomy, the specific treatment will depend on where exactly the infection is located. Because of this fact, the treatment will require additional testing that we can't do online. Therefore, it is not appropriate for our model of care.

Where you can get treated:

We'd recommend seeing your in-person doctor or going into urgent care.

If you don't have a primary care doctor or don't have insurance, start with Planned Parenthood or a low cost Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

You can find a FQHC here. They can help get you set up with low cost primary care with or without insurance.
